Public art
Byron believed that art belongs in everyday life — not on the wall, but around us.
From the sculptural mural he made in Los Angeles in 1968 to a 30-foot sculpture for Unidad Morelos in Mexico City, his public works grew with him. On the last night of 1999 he unveiled Millennium, a twelve-meter bronze and mosaic fountain that greets travelers entering Pachuca.
His last and largest work was the master plan and central mural of the David Ben Gurion Cultural Park in Pachuca.
